  I personally know Mike and Susie O'Connor and have recommended there funeral home to several of our family friends. They treat all of their families with the dignity and respect one needs during the difficult process of grieving.

  It has been over a year since our mother passed away, and understandably, it has taken our family some time to rebuild our equilibrium & come to terms with our "new normal." That said, it has been in our minds to review Family Memorial Mortuary so others will know of its outstanding service and genuine care throughout the entire process. Our mother had specific requests for a certain type of casket and to be buried in a pioneer cemetery. Susie at Family Memorial orchestrated both with such care and sensitivity that it made an unbearable process much easier than expected. In addition, the undertakers came to my mother's condo when she passed away (at night on a Sunday) and took her with loving dignity, all the while being extremely sensitive to what chaos and grief this was causing my sister and me. You can truly tell this is a family owned business by the way the owners (Susie and her husband) treat their clients during one of the most difficult times in life, and what is truly appreciated - - they do NOT try upsell you on items or services you do not need. They provide options and from there, the family can choose what it prefers. The pine casket was a work of art, and the owners took beautiful care of my mother right through the funeral service, which was nearby their Victorian home. Susie cared for us like loving family through the end, which we so appreciated during this most devastating and difficult time. Five stars isn't sufficient to describe the service and care of Family Memorial Mortuary. Truly, TRULY excellent.

  Family Memorial of Gresham far exceeded my expectations in the after care of the sudden death of my Mother. During a time of immense stress and grief, I felt a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders with Suzy and Michael’s experience and professionalism. During my time working with them they were prompt, realistic, compassionate, and handled every aspect of the process with great care. They presented me with a wide variety of affordable options to suit my mother’s wishes. These two both possess the special qualities needed to service this sensitive line of work and after working so closely with them, it is clear this is truly their life’s calling. There is no other business I would trust more in the handling of a loved one. If you are trying to decide which memorial business to choose from, look no further, these guys are amazing.   The O'Connors are extremely friendly, professional and humble. My family was going through a horrible time with the passing of my father. They were really flexible and worked with our needs. A million kudos, I would definitely recommend this establishment.
